#Righteousness is not necessary doing what is right, but being right in the eyes of God through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. We got to hear the pure grace gospel because it has been misunderstood for long or less understood to this day. Our relationship with God has been misrepresented by religion of all kinds. It is made to only look like desperately sinful people looking for a holy God for forgiveness over punishment. But it is less made to understand that first it is more a personal relationship or father and child relationship then the Holy vs the unholy. So, if he is a father...a loving father rather than will not a father love his son inspite of the mistakes of his son and still consider him his son no matter what he does..? or Will the father take away the right of the child to be his son just because he makes mistakes? A resounding NO! In that case his love is conditional. So, anyone who chooses him can not be denied our righteousness through Jesus or our right standing through Jesus as a child of Our father in heaven.
Someday we are all going to make mistake/sin...so than if righteousness or salvation depend on what we can do, than it is so uncertain for any believer to be saved. So no one will have the right to say i am saved for you do not know what you will do in the future. But since righteousness is through faith in Jesus' sacrifice once and for all. Therefore, for those of us who believe in Jesus we are given the right to proclaim our righteousness through Jesus Christ.(2 Corinthians 5:21 'God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God').
